Meet Your Speech-Language Pathologist

Megan Hutchinson, MSc., SLP (Reg. CASLPO), Clinical Director, Speech-Language Pathologist

Megan received her Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Alberta. Megan is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and a member of Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC). She also completed her Honors Bachelor of Psychology and Concurrent Education (HBA, BEd.) and is an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT).

Megan has experience working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children in a variety of settings across Canada. She began her career providing School Based Rehabilitative Services (SBRS) in Ontario before moving to British Columbia to provide preschool speech and language services with a local health unit. In 2022 Megan returned to Thunder Bay and has been providing fly-in and virtual services to school-aged children in remote Indigenous communities.

Megan’s clinical interests include speech sounds disorders, motor speech, and early language intervention. She is also currently learning more about pediatric feeding and swallowing and hopes to be able to provide these services in the near future!

In her spare time, Megan enjoys reading, travelling, swimming, and spending time with her family at the lake!
